In fact, in the field of camping tents, the Oxford cloth tent is similar to the canvas tent. Even the advantages of Oxford tents  fabric are almost greater than canvas tents in some aspects, because the fabric of Oxford tents is upgraded based on waterproofing tent canvas. Oxford cloth is the latest high-grade fabric in recent years, which is not easily deformed and has excellent waterproof effect. Oxford cloth has a variety of density styles, such as 150D, 210D, 300D, 600D to 1800D, and the larger the value, the higher the weaving density. The higher the sewing density, the better the quality, which of course also means an increase in price and weight. Other additional processing and coatings can provide oxford cloth with more excellent additional functions such as water resistance, fire resistance and corrosion resistance.

In recent years, you will find that Oxford cloth has gradually replaced cotton canvas in the field of tents. why? Perhaps because oxford canvas tent is easy to clean and maintain. Or oxford fabric tents are more capable of dealing with harsh environments, which is very beneficial for campers in scenes such as snowy mountains, forests and mountains. and many more.
The following will give examples of the characteristics of Oxford tents:

  • Windproof
  • Sun protection
  • Thermal insulation
  • Waterproof and breathable integrated
  • Repairable
  • Multifunctional
  • Preferential

Wind resistance: Have you ever experienced windy weather camping in nylon and polyester tents? When the wind hits your tent like a madman, you will feel as if it will take your tent away at any moment. Although we used wind ropes and ground pegs as auxiliary materials, we were inevitably worried due to the lightness and thinness of nylon materials. Oxford cloth can provide greater stability in high wind conditions. As long as you choose a good location, Oxford bell tents can provide you with a higher sense of security than nylon/polyester tents in general high winds.

Sun protection: The thickness of the Oxford cloth material can block more sunlight from entering the tent, preventing you from being harmed by harmful rays such as ultraviolet rays. Its tough and thick material makes the Oxford cloth tent last longer in the sun than the average tent. Provides the ability to withstand sunlight for a longer period of time.
Nonetheless, sun damage to fabrics is inevitable. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to choose to camp in the shade before setting up a tent.

Insulation: Sometimes we want to climb a snowy mountain or go to the wild to enjoy the snowy scenery in winter. Then a warm and high-quality tent is essential. The Oxford winter tent can prevent the heat inside the tent from escaping to the outside, which saves us from worrying about frostbite on our feet in the middle of the night. Of course, choosing a good sleeping bag and matching stove can also help you effectively resist the cold. I just want to express here that the Oxford cloth tent is more warm than the average synthetic tent.

Waterproof and Breathable: There are many times when we cannot have waterproof and breathable at the same time. Waterproof means that the airtightness of the tent should be strong, and if it is too airtight, it means that it is not breathable. This often results in poor ventilation and unpleasant odors inside the tent. The Oxford tent is currently the most comprehensive of synthetic fabric tents.

Repairability: It is inevitable that the tent will be torn or punctured during the use of the tent. Any tent is the same. Ordinary nylon and polyester tents can be difficult or impossible to repair when damaged. The Oxford tent is different, it supports more and larger damage than nylon. and easier to fix. All you need to do is find a piece of canvas to fix it, and seal the seams for water. Then the Oxford tent can still accompany you for a long time.

Versatility: The fabric structure of oxford fabrics allows the coating to adhere more easily than regular fabrics. This means that we can choose Oxford tents with different coatings according to the application scenario. They may be more sunscreen, more water-resistant, more fire-resistant, or more resistant to corrosion. This is all achievable with Oxford tents.

Affordable: In the past canvas tents were made of hemp, but modern canvas tents teepee are mostly made of cotton. It is generally known that cotton canvas tents are usually more expensive. The Oxford cloth tent is based on various materials such as cotton, hemp, polyester, etc. The price is also very favorable while ensuring that it has the characteristics of canvas, such as wear resistance, breathability and waterproofness.

At the same time, compared to ccanvas tents for camping, Oxford tents are easier to maintain and lighter in weight. At the same time, Oxford tents are more conducive to additional processing, such as custom printing and embossing. This will be more conducive to the customized services of bulk merchants.

Most of the time, cleaning an Oxford tent is pretty straightforward. Just take a towel and wipe with water to clean the stains on the surface of the Oxford tent. But the environment in the wild is complex, and no one can guarantee what will happen. So, our Oxford tents will inevitably get stubborn stains. But don’t worry, it’s not difficult to deep clean an Oxford tent.
It can be cleaned as follows:
First, you need to have cleaning supplies ready: water hose, bucket, mild soap or detergent, cleaning sponge.
Then choose a sunny day to start deep cleaning your oxford tent:

  1. Set up an Oxford tent on a clean open field and shake it to clear loose debris;
  2. Wet the tent with a hose;
  3. Fill a large bucket with water, add detergent and stir;
  4. Find out where the stain is and apply detergent or soap to the area;
  5. Scrub the stain with a sponge or a soft-bristle brush;
  6. Rinse off stains and foam throughout the Oxford fabric tent with a hose;
  7. Put the tent in a cool and ventilated place to dry;

Storage:

Alright. After the above steps, I believe that you have cleaned the Oxford tent very clean. Usually it takes 2-3 days for the Oxford tent to dry completely, it needs to completely evaporate the moisture inside the fabric. This will effectively prevent mildew in the cabinets of your Oxford tent.
Please be careful to avoid the same crease every time when folding the tent. Long-term identical creases can damage the fabric structure in that area, and in severe cases can cause holes in the tent fabric. This is something no one wants it to happen. After the tent is folded, it can be stored in a dry and cool place.

The density and material structure of the tent fabric determines the effective life of the tent. At the same time, proper maintenance during use can effectively prolong the service life of the Oxford cloth/canvas tents for camping.
